It seems like everyone is trying to limit their sugar these days – and with good reason!
We have been experimenting with the perfect after dinner snack that isn’t packed with refined sugars and is super easy to make and we think we’ve found just the right thing!
All you need is:
- Pitted Dates
- Natural CRUNCHY Peanut Butter
- Chocolate Chips (we recommend Lily’s No Sugar Added Chocolate Baking Chips)
- 1 tbsp of Oil (olive, coconut, or whatever you prefer)

Directions:
- Chop dates into small pieces on a piece of wax paper or a silicone baking sheet
- Once all the dates are chopped up, put a little bit of oil onto the date pile and use another piece of wax paper to kneed all the pieces together. You may want to use washed hands to really combine all the date pieces
- Lay the date out flat on your baking sheet. It should be about 1/4 inch thick
- Spread your natural crunchy peanut butter over the top of your date bar base. Try and spread evenly
- Put the date and peanut butter bar in the freezer for 10 minutes to let the peanut butter harden
- In the meantime, melt your chocolate chips. This usually only takes about 30 seconds.
- Take the bar out of the freezer and spread melted chocolate overtop of the peanut butter
- Let the 3 layered bar sit in the freezer for about an hour and then cut into squares and enjoy!
